Claire Terry

Osteopath

Hi, I’m Claire.  I’m an osteopath, parent of 2 children and 1 slightly bonkers dog.

I believe that everyone deserves to be listened to and taken seriously when their body isn’t behaving how they need it to. When you have pain and can’t do the things you want to you should be able to get help without waiting for weeks or months for little support, and that’s why I love my role as an osteopath.  I can help you change your pain and get back to doing what you love.

I became a Registered Osteopath in 1999 and then went on to learn massage, including myofascial work.  I have continued with my learning every year and am currently training in exercise and movement therapy which will be an exciting new addition to my skills.

Outside of osteopathy I like to spend as much time as possible outdoors, enjoying walking, paddleboarding, and kayaking with Tonbridge Canoe Club.  I also love stand up comedy and listening to podcasts and audiobooks, I’ll give any topic a go!

Vanessa Lines

Sports & remedial massage therapist

I have been a sports & remedial massage therapist for eight years, coming originally from a coaching and teaching background. I am a mum of two and belong to a local running club. I am a firm believer in the body being a great healer, and educating people in ways they can help themselves, like taking up yoga and Pilates. I love to help athletes and non-athletes alike. People I work with come form a whole host of backgrounds, from office workers, to farmers, to new mums, to Olympic athletes. I like to keep up with the latest health research and current topics of interest to me are the link between sleep, diet and pain; menopause; mental health and physical symptoms.

I have a level 5 qualification in Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy from NLSSM, and a BSc (Hons) PE & Sports Science from Loughborough University.

I am a member of the Sports Massage Association.

Sarah Howard

Reflexology, Massage, Aromatherapy and EFT

I have lived in Tonbridge all my life, and still live in the house where I was born, which I now share with my husband Larry. We have two grown up sons and a crazy fox red labrador named Gwen .

My interest in essential oils and complementary therapies started when my husband became a beekeeper. I was fascinated by this and began to make natural products such as soap, creams and lip balms using the beeswax and honey from their harvest. There was something so appealing about this, knowing that the ingredients I was using wouldn’t harm my children’s delicate skin. As time went on I wanted to improve my knowledge so that I could use essential oils in my products to enhance their healing properties. More research and practicing were to come, I loved every minute of it and could talk about it for hours.

I enjoy attending courses and workshops on a regular basis to improve my knowledge and techniques, so my clients get the best possible experience

In addition to the therapies, I make a unique range of products using natural bases and essential oils, I tailor my products to suit the needs of my clients both therapeutically and emotionally. Last year I qualified as a clinical essential oils practitioner. It was a lot of hard work but was so worth it.

In my spare time, you might see me walking with my trusty companion Gwen around our favourite place Haysden Country Park. I find it gives me such a great start to the day, even when it’s raining.

I enjoy spending time with my family.  My husband and I love going for long walks and now the boys are grown up we have more opportunities to do this.

Last year we walked the three peaks (not in 24 hours!) it was an amazing experience, and we picked the best week to do it too, the weather was fantastic, and we had a clear view at the top of each peak.

My qualifications are below:

  • Anatomy & Physiology – VTCT Level 3
  • Swedish Massage – City & Guilds Level 3 (Distinction)
  • Reflexology – VTCT Level 3
  • Katseye Essential Oil Blends & Product Making – Level 2 & 3
  • Clinical Essential Oils Practitioner Diploma (Distinction)
  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage Diploma
  • EFT & Matrix Reimprinting – Level 2

Celia Griver

Hypnotherapist

Hi, I’m Celia, a qualified and experienced hypnotherapist based here at Head to Toe Health.  I’m here to help you to find new and better ways to deal with whatever situations you face in life.  I’m committed to helping you feel better, get better and stay better.

I believe that no matter what, everyone has within them the ability to lead full and meaningful lives and to be the person they really want to be

That’s why after a lifetime of working hand in hand with individuals and communities around the world to improve their wellbeing I started Blossom Hypnotherapy. I’d experienced time and time again, how, with the right support, everyone whatever their background, can take control of their life and blossom and grow. Now I use the skills and inspiration I found working with individuals and communities around the world to help people change their lives in just the way they want.

I help you to build a life where you have the skills you need to transform your life for the better for yourself. One where you feel supported, empowered and confident, even in uncertain times.

I use tried and tested techniques that have been proven to be effective. This makes it as easy as possible for you to achieve your goals, feel better and know you can deal with anything that comes your way.

In a world that believes in a cookie cutter, one size fits all approach, I create a completely personal experience for my clients.  While there is no magic wand I can just wave to help you, you’ll learn the techniques and skills that’ll work in your busy, pressured and (often overwhelmed ) life.  You’ll begin to find out what life can be like for you when you are free of the problem that led you to contact me in the first place.  I’ll be there with you every step of the way as you start to make changes in your life.  I’ll be helping you to learn how to put things into practice in your life, even when you’ve got almost no time.  And, I’ll be giving you all the resources you need to support you along the way.

Using the best techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy, hypnosis and mindfulness, we work together to make it as easy as possible for you to achieve your goals.  From your first appointment, you can improve your wellbeing and take positive steps towards living the life you want.

I’m also a hypnotherapy supervisor and trainer, supporting and guiding other hypnotherapists in their work.

Kirsty Payne

Counsellor

I chose to pursue a career in counselling because I experienced first-hand the affect it had on how I viewed myself and what I believed I could achieve in my life. It also helped me understand how important it is to practice self-care. Something I now promote as an integral part of the counselling process.

In my spare time I enjoy walking my dog – being present in nature and taking photos along the way. l like trying new recipes and more importantly, eating what I have created!

My experience has included working with a local charity, that offers trauma counselling to people affected by crime. This has allowed me to develop a more directive approach to counselling and the ability to sit with a wide range of presenting issues. There is no comparison between how our individual experiences affect us; regardless of what a client brings, I hope to create a space that feels safe and judgement free.
